 Robert 'The Ghost' Guerrero (26-1-1, 18 KOs) stopped an over-matched Roberto Arrieta (35-16-4, 16 KOs) in the eighth round on Friday night at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Guerrero scored knockdowns in rounds two and three. Following a third knockdown in the eighth, referee Jay Nadie put a halt to the beating at :29 for the win.
Amateur standout Frankie Gomez (2-0, 2 KOs) was succesful in his second professional outing, scoring a second round TKO over Ricardo Malfavon (0-2). A right hand sent Malfavon to the canvas but it was the flurry of shots that followed the knockdown that would end the bout at 1:06.
The event marked the return of Solo Boxeo Tecate to Telefutura promoted by Golden Boy Promotions
